Products we supply

Muller Trading offers a full line of fresh fruits and vegetables to our customers year round.   Each salesperson specializes in his or her product line, making each broker an expert on their commodities current growing regions, product availability, pricing and freshness.
Below is a list of some of our most popular items:

Apples
We ship a large variety of apples year round from the Pacific Northwest and Northeastern US.  Some popular varieties include:  Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, Red Delicious, and Fuji.

Avocados
Avocados are one of our specialty items.  We distribute avocados year round, and from all growing regions.  Whether you are seeking domestic, California grown or avocados from Mexico, Peru, and New Zealand or beyond, we can service all of your needs!

Bell Peppers
Bell peppers are a sweet, mild pepper variety that comes in a rainbow of colors.  Bell peppers are in good supply all year and are freshest and least expensive in the summer months.  Peppers are primarily sourced from Mexico to Canada with heavy growing areas in the South East during the spring and fall. During the summer months, heavy growing occurs in the Midwest and Canada. 

Carrots
Carrots are one of the most popular root vegetables in the US and are in season in the summer and fall.  Carrots are hardy vegetables that can be stored and kept fresh for up to 2 weeks, in the proper environment. 

Chile Peppers
The term Chiles is a blanket term used to describe an entire line of specialty peppers: Jalapenos, Serranos, Tomatillos, Habaneros, Banana Peppers, Long Hots, Cubanelle, Anaheim, etc. These peppers are primarily grown in Mexico, California, and the South East. Summer harvests in the Midwest are becoming more popular as well.

Cilantro
Cilantro is a member of the carrot family and is also known by the name, “Chinese Parsley”. We offer fresh cilantro, along with many other fresh herbs and garlic, to our customers. This popular herb is a staple ingredient in dishes from cultures around the world, including; Mexican, Caribbean, and Chinese.  Our herbs are grown in both the US and Mexico, picked fresh, and shipped directly to our customers nationwide. 

Cantaloupe
Cantaloupes are a smaller melon variety, with a green skin and yellow flesh. Cantaloupes typically come in 9, 12, 15, and 18ct cartons. During the summer months cantaloupes are often packed in bins as well. Growing regions include California May through early October; Arizona early October through December; offshore (Guatemalan, Honduran) and Mexican varieties run January through April.

Cucumbers
Cucumbers are comprised of two varieties: table cukes and pickles. Table cukes are generally used for slicing in salads and garnishing while pickle varieties are smaller and harvested at approximately two inches. Cucumbers grow best in the South East, Midwest and Mexico. There are also seedless varieties that primarily grow in hot houses across North America.

Grapes
Grapes one of the most popular fruit items used worldwide. Grapes are often used to make jam, jelly, and wine. Red Globes, a seeded grape has become extremely popular in Asian countries. Globes are often used during the holidays and for festivals as well. The three most popular seedless grapes sold domestically are of the red, white, and black varieties.

Honeydew
Honeydews tend to have a smooth white skin, with green flesh. The most common counts are 6, 8, and 9ct, which are almost always packed in cartons. They are grown out of Mexico January through May; Texas April through June, Arizona October through December; and California September through December.

Lemons
One of the most popular citrus items is lemons. They are often used for garnishes, or to enhance the flavor of your favorite fish dish. The most common counts are 95, 115, 140, 165, 200, and 235ct. Lemons are pulled out of California throughout the course of the year. Mexico has become another reliable source of lemons, during the fall season (September-November).

Lettuce
Lettuce is a cool weather vegetable that thrives in 60-70 degree temperatures and should be planted in spring or early fall. We provide our customers with all types of lettuce from the western US.  We ship cello, iceburg, shredded, romaine, and various salad mixes year round.

Limes
Limes are often used to add a sour kick to certain beverages, and foods. Limes are brought in year round from Mexico. During the late summer to fall months, limes are available from Guatemala and Honduras. Limes are often packed in cartons, with the most popular sizes being 150, 175, 200, and 230ct. Most chain stores are fond of place pack limes, which are encased in mesh.

Mangoes
Mangoes come in several different varieties. The four most common red skin mangoes are Tommy Atkins, Haydens, Kents, and Keitts. Tommy Atkins display the most color, while Kents tend to house the most flavor. The sweetest of the mangoes is the yellow skinned Ataulfo, which contains very little fiber. Red skin mangoes are available out of Mexico from April through September. Starting in late September through March, the mangoes are brought in from Brazil, Peru, and Ecuador.

Onions
We strive to provide our customers with freshest red, yellow and white onions available year round.  We source onions from Texas and New Mexico in the spring and the Pacific Northwest in the winter. 

Potatoes
Potatoes come in a variety of sizes and colors.  We sell all sizes, varieties, and packs – some examples include; sweet, red, russet and white.  Potatoes are typically packaged in 50# cartons, the lower the count of potatoes in a carton, the larger the potato.   They also come in poly and mesh bags.  Russets are the most common variety and have many uses including baked potatoes.

Tomatoes
Another specialty item, and what Muller Trading is most well-known for, we supply all varieties of tomatoes to our customers year round.  We source tomatoes from both the United States and Mexico.  United States tomatoes are sourced from Alabama, Arkansas, California, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, and more.  We supply our customers with all types and varieties of tomatoes from mature greens to vine ripes, heirlooms and beefsteaks to cherry and grape tomatoes.  We can service all of your tomato needs, no matter how large or small!

Squash
Squash primarily comes in two varieties – summer and fall/winter. Summer squash includes the popular varieties Zucchini and Yellow Straight Neck. These are picked at an immature stage and eaten without the removal of seed or seed cavity tissue. These varieties grow from Mexico to Canada depending on the growing season. The fall and winter varieties include Butternut, Acorn, Spaghetti, Pumpkins, etc. These are generally items that are grown in the Midwest in the fall and Florida/Mexico in the winter.
